Over the past 20 years, the Sotramont/St-Jacques Fortin Inc. consortium has developed over 2,000 residential units as part of large-scale integrated projects throughout Quebec. The consortium has received numerous awards of excellence by Canadian Architecture and the Association de la construction du Québec (ACQ) for the construction of dwellings of aesthetic, functional and structural quality. Guy St-Jacques, President of St-Jacques Fortin Inc. and Marc-André Roy, President of Groupe Sotramont, state that their mission is to "deliver proven solutions by encouraging and supporting more challenging innovations." In 2005, the consortium was a finalist in the $300,000 and above category for single-family dwellings within the Villas-sur-Rive project.
