Over the past 20 years, the Sotramont/St-Jacques Fortin Inc. consortium has built over 2,000 apartments as part of large-scale integrated projects throughout Quebec. The consortium, which has won numerous awards of excellence from Canadian Architecture and the Association de la construction du Québec (ACQ), builds dwellings that are esthetic, functional and of high quality. According to Guy St-Jacques, President of St-Jacques Fortin Inc., and Marc-André Roy, President of the Groupe Sotramont, the consortium’s mission is to “Develop proven solutions without fearing the most daring innovations.” In 2005, this consortium was a finalist in the $300,000 and up category for the Villas-sur-Rive development's single-family dwellings.
